Anxiety
Let’s be real..
Anxiety is kinda the worst, right?
It’s like that one friend who always shows up uninvited, never gets the hint to leave, and then somehow manages to make everything awkward. Whether it's keeping you up at night, making your heart race during that "casual" meeting, or convincing you that you forgot to lock the door (again), anxiety is always lurking in the background, stirring the pot.
And let’s not even get started on how women tend to carry the weight of it all—juggling work, relationships, kids, life… and somehow making it look like you’ve got it all together (even though inside, it’s like a fire drill 24/7). Whether you're the type to overthink every conversation or constantly worry about things that haven't even happened, anxiety can make you feel like you’re spinning your wheels but getting nowhere fast.
You’ve tried all the “things”
The positive affirmations, the anxiety jewelry and that one weird herbal tea your friend swore by. (Spoiler: It didn’t help). Yet, here you are, still feeling like you’re one missed deadline away from spontaneously combusting. Your friends are probably side-eyeing you because you’ve been MIA from social events, but they don’t see the behind-the-scenes struggle. They don’t know that you’ve been avoiding anxiety like it’s an ex you’d rather not bump into. They don’t see how you're constantly waiting for the next disaster or stuck in survival mode like you’re the star of a never-ending sh*tty reality TV show.
You feel it in your body, too.
It’s like your body decided to get in on the action, too. Chest tight? Check. Lump in your throat? Oh yeah. You’ve hit the point where all you want to do is run and hide, just to get a moment of peace. You’ve tried to talk yourself down from the ledge (maybe even talked to your dog about it because they get you), but it’s like those worst-case scenarios are stuck on a loop.
And let's not forget the endless cycle of asking people, “Are you sure everything’s okay?” just for that brief moment of relief. But what you really want? You want to stop needing validation from everyone else and start feeling confident in yourself.
Anxiety isn’t just a mental thing.
Adhd & Anxiety
Now, if you’ve also been diagnosed with ADHD (or maybe not diagnosed yet), anxiety doesn’t just tag along—it’s more like an uninvited guest who brought a suitcase and isn’t leaving anytime soon. Women with ADHD are way more likely to have anxiety, and let’s just say, that’s a combo that can really mess with your head. Your brain’s on turbo-speed, juggling 37 things at once, and “oh hey, don’t forget the guilt when you misplace your keys for the fourth time today.”
Anxiety doesn’t define you
You are so much more than your anxious thoughts.
It’s time to stop surviving and start thriving—no more waiting for the next bad thing to happen or tiptoeing around life like you’re in a minefield.
And you know what? You deserve to be happy. You deserve to belly laugh because something’s funny, not because you're covering up dread. You deserve to crush your goals without anxiety standing in the way, like it’s trying to trip you for no reason at all.
